Zenith Associates is seeking an

Assistant Estimator

to join a

CSA & Utilities specialist contractor

based in

Amsterdam.

Established in the

Data Centre, Major Projects, Substations, High Rise Sector

the company has a strong pipeline of projects for 2027 and an ambitious five-year growth plan.

This is a long-term opportunity to progress into overseeing the estimating function or pursue a different career path within the business, working on major projects for some of the world's biggest technology clients.

Projects typically range from

€1 million to €15 million , covering

groundworks, excavations, underground utilities, piling, steel and concrete structures, and external envelopes.

Relocation is required and fully supported, with fast-track visa assistance.

Key Responsibilities You will assist the Commercial Director with estimating and tendering functions.

With support and mentoring , you will have the opportunity to take a lead role in the function.

Assisting with the preparation of accurate cost estimates for new and ongoing projects, including labour, materials and equipment.

Calculating and processing variations arising from additional or reduced scopes of work.

Supporting procurement by extracting quantities and issuing requests for quotations.

Assisting with tender submissions and preparing commercial reports.

Analysing technical drawings, specifications and schedules.

Contributing to work schedules and phase planning (VAC).

Preparing work methods, material lists and construction sequences.

Requesting and evaluating quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.

Maintaining and updating cost databases and internal estimating tools.

Occasionally assisting with site visits, measurements and progress monitoring.

About You The ideal candidate will have:

A minimum of

three years' experience

in

quantity surveying, estimating, planning or a similar role.

Experience in civil engineering, concrete works or infrastructure (desirable).

Strong communication skills and fluency in English; Dutch is an advantage.

A proactive, adaptable attitude and a willingness to develop new skills.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Proficiency in Excel, measurement software and planning tools such as MS Project and Asta.

A team-oriented approach and a practical, hands-on mindset.

An enjoyment of working with data and figures.

The key requirement is

strong commercial experience in civils and utilities , ideally gained within a main contractor or specialist subcontractor environment.

Package and Benefits

Salary of up to

€55,000 base , plus package and bonus.

Relocation support and an accommodation contribution.

EU residency is not required.
