We are seeking a Product Compliance Specialist in Amersfoort to strengthen our European Product Compliance team (YEF). In this role, you will help ensure that Yokogawa products meet applicable EU/EEA regulatory requirements and can be safely and lawfully placed on the market. You will partner with engineering, product management, sales, and other stakeholders to turn complex legislation into practical actions across the product lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
Regulatory expertise and advisory

Provide specialist guidance on CE marking and applicable product requirements, including EMC, Low Voltage Directive (LVD), ATEX, RoHS, REACH, and WEEE.

Advise internal teams on conformity assessment, regulatory interpretation, and compliance strategies.

Support communication with customers, partners, and relevant authorities on product compliance matters.
Product lifecycle and market access

Embed compliance considerations into product design, development, introduction, and ongoing lifecycle management.

Identify regulatory risks, support corrective actions, and help resolve audits and customer-related compliance issues.

Contribute to regulatory readiness and continued access to European markets.
Frameworks, documentation, and controls

Maintain and improve internal compliance procedures, policies, and supporting processes.

Coordinate technical documentation, conformity records, and regulatory evidence as applicable.

Conduct or support compliance reviews and audits; track findings and improvement actions.

Translate regulatory changes into clear guidance and relevant internal reporting.
Training and continuous improvement

Build awareness through training, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Monitor relevant regulatory developments and assess their impact on Yokogawa products and processes.
Your profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field, with sound knowledge of EU product safety requirements.

Professional experience in product compliance and familiarity with CE marking, EMC, ATEX, LVD, RoHS, and REACH.

Experience with industrial measurement, instrumentation, or automation products is an advantage.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate technical and legal requirements into practical business decisions.

Clear communication, stakeholder management, attention to detail, and a proactive, structured approach.

Comfort working across functions, cultures, and international teams.

Availability to work from Yokogawa’s Amersfoort office approximately two days per week (40%).
