A multinational defence organisation wants its architecture properly described: where it stands today, where it should get to, and what has to happen in between. This is a deliverable‑based engagement, mostly remote, producing the reports and models that later decisions will rest on. What You Would Be Doing
Producing the current-state architecture report and the models that go with it. Developing the target architecture and its models, grounded in what the organisation actually needs rather than what is fashionable. Building the roadmap from one to the other, with the sequencing and dependencies made explicit. Writing large structured documents that hold together and can be reviewed by people who were not in the room. Working with a multinational team, remotely for most of the engagement, on‑site when the work needs a room and a whiteboard. What you would bring
A master's degree in computer science, software and systems engineering or similar — or, in its place, several years of progressive expertise in exactly this kind of work. At least five years delivering enterprise or solution architecture. Several years of that specifically for defence customers, where the constraints are different and the review is harder. ArchiMate and Sparx Enterprise Architect in daily use, not as a line on a CV. A track record of writing long, structured architecture documents. The ability to integrate into a multinational team and be useful in it quickly. Fluent business English.
