We are Van Wijnen Engineering, a developer, engineering bureau, construction and real estate management company, working on sustainable and affordable solutions in the Netherlands. In this role you will be a senior construction engineer and project leader, responsible for coordinating a team of constructors in Belgrade and ensuring the quality, planning, and execution of construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Bearing the end responsibility for construction projects provided to the Belgrade team.
- Maintaining internal client contact with customers and project leaders.
- Preparing, allocating, and explaining construction assignments to the Belgrade team.
- Monitoring planning, progress, and capacity of the projects.
- Checking and evaluating hand‐in calculations, models and documents for quality.
- Identifying risks, deviations and optimisation opportunities in design and execution.
- Driving the development and safeguarding of processes related to international collaboration.
- Onboarding new employees in Belgrade and accompanying them during the first year; travelling to Serbia for face‐to‐face discussions and occasional follow‐ups.

Requirements
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Construction Engineering of Civil Engineering, specializing in construction.
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience in construction engineering (experience in residential or commercial construction is an advantage).
- Desire to broaden the role towards project leadership and international cooperation.
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
- Affinity for concrete construction and experience in designing and detailing concrete main and detail structures.
