Job Description As a Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of custom-built machines and technical installations.

You will translate specifications and technical requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions and develop these into detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings.

You will remain closely involved throughout the engineering and production process.

By working directly with production and project teams, you can quickly address technical issues, improve designs, and ensure that your engineering solutions work effectively in practice.

Responsibilities Develop mechanical concepts into detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings.

Analyse technical specifications and translate them into practical design and engineering solutions.

Perform technical calculations and select appropriate components and materials.

Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and related technical documentation.

Coordinate designs with engineering, project teams, and production.

Support production with technical and mechanical questions and resolve design-related issues.

Identify technical risks, deviations, and opportunities for improvement.

Contribute to the continuous improvement and manufacturability of mechanical designs.

Who We Are Looking For MBO+/HBO level in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field.

Experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Design Engineer, or Mechanical Designer.

Experience with 3D CAD, preferably Autodesk Inventor or Solid Works.

Knowledge of mechanical systems, structures, materials, and components.

A precise and practical approach, with a strong focus on manufacturability.

Good command of Dutch and preferably English.

A reasonable level of proficiency in the Dutch language is required for this position.

Available for a position in the Bergen op Zoom region.

Independent, analytical, and proactive, with a hands-on mindset and good communication skills.
