Maintenance Coordinator – Maintenance Project 2027
About the assignment For a large industrial production site, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to support the preparation and execution of a large-scale maintenance project in 2027. This is a temporary project assignment running until the end of 2027.
The project concerns an extensive, planned maintenance shutdown. Thorough material preparation and logistical coordination are essential to carry out the work safely, efficiently and on schedule.
The role As Maintenance Coordinator, you are responsible for the entire process surrounding project materials: from the moment a material requirement is identified and reserved, through to the moment the material is ready as a complete kit at the right location and at the right time.
Responsibilities
Coordinating and monitoring material reservations and requirements within the project scope.
Tracking orders, reservations, deliveries and material availability.
Liaising with procurement, warehouse, maintenance, engineering, planning and the project organisation.
Identifying, resolving and escalating shortages, delays and other logistical bottlenecks.
Monitoring critical materials that may impact the project schedule.
Coordinating the collection, inspection and assembly of material kits.
Ensuring materials are complete, clearly identifiable and available on time for execution.
Coordinating the logistical handover of materials to the correct work areas.
Setting up and maintaining progress overviews and reports.
Resolving material issues during execution and adjusting the logistics chain where needed.
Closing out open material actions and the material organisation after project completion.
What we are looking for
Proven experience in material coordination within an industrial environment.
Experience with large-scale maintenance projects or shutdowns is a strong advantage.
Experience with material flows from reservation or order through to availability at the work location.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Practical, results-driven and strong at progress monitoring.
Able to work effectively across disciplines, suppliers and internal departments.
Able to spot bottlenecks early and take the initiative to resolve them.
Experience with ERP and/or materials management systems.
Good command of Dutch and/or English.
Willing to be intensively present on site during the execution phase.
Team and reporting line You will be part of the project organisation and work closely with planning, procurement, warehouse, maintenance, engineering and the scope owners. You report functionally to the Construction Manager.
Duration Temporary project assignment until the end of 2027, focused on the preparation, execution and close-out of this maintenance project. This is not a permanent line position.
