About Think Circular
Think Circular is an international circular fashion business specialising in the acquisition, recovery and redistribution of excess branded inventory.
We work with fashion and lifestyle brands to provide commercially effective, responsible solutions for end-of-season stock, excess inventory, customer returns, damaged goods and other non-standard inventory.
As we expand our international sourcing network, we are looking for an experienced Senior Sportswear Buyer with established relationships across the global sportswear industry.
The Opportunity
We are looking for someone who already knows the sportswear industry, understands how major brands manage surplus inventory and, most importantly, has the relationships to open doors and create direct purchasing opportunities.
This is not a traditional seasonal buying or merchandising position.
Your primary responsibility will be to identify, develop and secure direct inventory purchasing programmes with major sportswear and performance brands across Europe and the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Develop direct sourcing relationships with leading global sportswear, athletic footwear and performance apparel brands.
Identify and negotiate opportunities involving excess inventory, end-of-season stock, aged collections, retail returns, customer returns, damaged goods and liquidation programmes.
Build long-term purchasing programmes rather than relying exclusively on one-off stock opportunities.
Engage with brand decision-makers across inventory management, commercial, wholesale, operations, sustainability and reverse logistics.
Negotiate commercially attractive purchasing terms for volume transactions.
Evaluate inventory assortments, product condition, quantities, pricing and resale potential.
Work closely with our international commercial and operations teams to structure and execute purchases.
Identify new opportunities for inventory recovery and circular redistribution.
Who We're Looking For
Existing industry relationships are essential.
The successful candidate will have:
Proven buying, sourcing, off-price, liquidation or inventory recovery experience within the sportswear industry.
An established professional network with major sportswear brands in Europe and/or the USA.
Direct experience negotiating commercial inventory transactions with brands or their authorised inventory management teams.
Strong understanding of excess inventory, end-of-season stock, returns, damages and secondary-market distribution.
Demonstrated ability to originate opportunities independently and convert relationships into commercial transactions.
Experience working with significant inventory volumes and international supply chains.
Strong commercial negotiation skills and an entrepreneurial approach.
Experience working within a major sportswear brand, an authorised off-price channel, a specialist inventory recovery business or a global sourcing organisation would be particularly relevant.
What We Offer
An opportunity to develop a major international sportswear buying category.
Access to an established international purchasing, logistics and resale operation.
The ability to build long-term relationships and purchasing programmes with global brands.
An entrepreneurial environment with meaningful commercial responsibility.
A flexible international working structure.
A commercial package aligned with experience, responsibilities and performance.
