To support a large, highly automated site in Heerlen, we are looking for a
Key User
to join the team.
In this role, you will provide first-line IT support, with a strong focus on the Warehouse Management System (WMS). You will help ensure the smooth running of operations in a dynamic, high-volume environment. Acting as a key link between Operations and IT, you will support end users and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Description
Ensure the correct and optimal use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) at the site.
Provide first-line WMS support, including troubleshooting system issues and managing IT tickets based on priority.
Act as the main point of contact between Operations, IT and external partners for all WMS-related matters.
Support warehouse users in working with WMS interfaces, processes and improvements.
Translate operational needs into functional system requirements.
Test new system implementations, develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios, and validate the results.
Define KPIs and reporting to support operational performance.
Prepare documentation (SOPs), explain new functionalities and train end users.
Initiate and implement continuous improvement initiatives within a large-scale, highly automated, high-volume operation.
Job Requirements
Experience in a similar role within a logistics environment.
Experience with system implementations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably also with WCS and/or SCADA systems.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Sound knowledge of logistics and warehouse processes.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Good command of the English language.
Willingness and flexibility to work a rotating two-shift schedule (06:00-15:00 and 15:00-00:00), including one Saturday morning every two weeks from 06:00-15:00. In return, you will receive a day off during that week.
