XML Automation Engineer - GCP (ID: 4122) in Amsterdam

As a XML Automation Engineer – GCP, you will

• Develop, maintain, and optimize XQuery and XPath logic for XML-based data synchronization and validation.
  
• Work with XML databases such as MarkLogic, BaseX, and eXist-db to ensure data consistency, accuracy, performance, and reliability.
  
• Design and maintain XML data models, queries, and validation mechanisms.
  
• Automate deployment, configuration, and operational processes using DevOps practices.
  
• Support the packaging, release, and deployment of platform components, including RPM packaging.
  
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot XML data synchronization and validation issues.
  
• Support monitoring and day-to-day operations of cloud-based systems running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  
• Use Ansible and shell scripting to automate configuration management and operational tasks.
  
• Work in Linux environments to maintain system reliability and operational stability.
  

What You Bring to the Table

• 6–8 years of professional experience, as specified in the requirement.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with XQuery and XPath.
  
• Solid experience working with XML databases such as MarkLogic, BaseX, or eXist-db.
  
• Strong understanding of XML data modeling, querying, transformation, and validation.
  
• Experience with DevOps practices, deployment automation, and configuration management.
  
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud operations.
  
• Experience with Linux administration and operational troubleshooting.
  

You should possess the ability to

• Develop and troubleshoot complex XQuery and XPath expressions.
  
• Analyze XML data structures and resolve data consistency and synchronization issues.
  
• Automate operational workflows using Ansible and Bash scripting.
  
• Support software packaging, release management, and deployment processes, including RPM packaging.
  
• Monitor cloud-based applications and investigate production issues.
  
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability.
  
• Work with Java-based applications involving XML processing and integration, where required.
