Lawyer in Rotterdam

Due to a growing practice, Smallegange Lawyers is looking for a lawyer with an interest in the international shipping and transport practice. Smallegange Lawyers is a Rotterdam law firm with an established name in the transport sector (the ‘wet practice’) and the international commercial litigation practice. The Smallegange team of attorneys is young and dynamic. The three partners are between 40 and 45 years old. Smallegange’s practice has a strong international character. We not only have a strong position in the Dutch (insurance) market, but also serve many foreign clients, including foreign P&I insurers, large shipping companies and international trading companies. Part of our work also comes from our network of foreign correspondents. We are looking for candidates who are interested in specializing in the practice of our firm. A solid foundation in civil (procedural) law (Books 3, 6 and 7 of the Dutch Civil Code and the Dutch Code of Civil Procedure) is absolutely essential. Knowledge of private international law is recommended.
