At Röhlig Netherlands, approximately 25 people work across two locations in Rotterdam and Hoofddorp. For our sea freight team in Rotterdam, we are looking for a Sea Freight Operator Import to coordinate import shipments from pre-alert through customs clearance and final delivery. What you will do:
Coordinate incoming sea freight shipments, register shipment data and monitor cargo movements and arrival updates. Communicate with customers, overseas agents, carriers, brokers and other partners to resolve delays and keep shipments on track. Arrange or coordinate customs clearance, documentation, cargo release and onward delivery in line with applicable requirements. Handle shipment discrepancies, claims, invoicing and cost processing accurately and on time. Follow operational, safety and quality procedures while looking for opportunities to improve efficiency. What you bring:
Solid knowledge of sea freight import operations and relevant shipping documentation. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a customer-oriented approach. Confidence working with operational systems and Microsoft Office; freight forwarding system experience is valuable. A collaborative and proactive working style, with good Dutch and English communication skills. What we offer you:
