Service Coordinator | Planning | Maritime in Schiedam

For an international company operating in the maritime industry, we are looking for an experienced Service Coordinator who enjoys organizing technical service activities, coordinating engineers and maintaining an overview in a dynamic international environment. You will join an international organization specializing in lifting and handling solutions and life-saving equipment for the maritime industry. From its location in Schiedam, service activities are coordinated for customers and projects worldwide. The company is growing and expanding its service operations. You will play an important role in ensuring that service activities run smoothly, customers receive the right support and engineers have everything they need to perform their work. What will you do?

As a Service Coordinator, you are responsible for coordinating and organizing service activities. You work closely with the Service Manager, service engineers, customers and internal departments. Your responsibilities include: Planning, coordinating and following up on service activities

Acting as the main point of contact for customers regarding service-related matters

Handling service requests and the service hotline

Preparing quotations for service activities

Supporting service engineers with job briefings, debriefings and documentation

Delegating tasks and monitoring progress

Supporting sales and project teams with service contracts

Monitoring working hours, costs and invoicing

Tracking service performance, KPIs and project targets

Analysing service data and identifying areas for improvement

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with experience in a technical or service-oriented environment who combines strong organizational skills with a customer-focused mindset. You bring: A Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Engineering or a related technical field

Experience in service coordination or a similar coordinating role

Experience within the maritime or offshore industry is a strong advantage

Experience with planning, coordinating and delegating activities

A good understanding of technical service operations

Experience with monitoring hours, costs and service performance

Strong communication and organizational skills

A proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented attitude

Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken; Dutch is not required

You are independent, structured and able to switch quickly between different tasks. You enjoy working with customers and engineers and know how to keep operations running smoothly. What do we offer?
