At Poolder, you will work on our applications, backend services, and data pipelines. You will help turn analyses and models into reliable software that our colleagues and clients can use. We are an innovative fintech investment firm specializing in digital assets. We develop smart crypto solutions for high-end clients, with a focus on returns and risk management. You will work in a team of developers, a data analyst, trading experts, and crypto specialists. Together, you will build our trading execution engine, data intelligence solutions, and client applications. Our tech stack mainly consists of C#/.NET, Python, React/TypeScript, and PostgreSQL. Our systems run on Microsoft Azure, and we use tools such as Docker, Azure DevOps, and Terraform for deployment and infrastructure. Your initial focus will be on developing data and machine learning solutions and bringing them reliably into production. You will also work on the services, APIs, and interfaces that integrate these solutions into our products. What will you do?
Work closely with our data analyst to further develop analyses and models and translate them into maintainable Python software. Build data pipelines to collect, process, and validate market, blockchain, and portfolio data. Develop backend services, REST APIs, and integrations within our .NET and Python environment. Take a DevOps-minded approach to development, focusing on CI/CD, monitoring, quality, performance, and scalability. Make data and model outputs available in our React/TypeScript applications. Design and maintain data models using PostgreSQL. Ensure automated testing, reliable deployments, logging, and monitoring. Contribute to technical decisions and work with colleagues to bring features from development into production. What do you bring?
At least 3 years of relevant experience in software development. Demonstrable experience in training and evaluating machine learning models, either professionally or through a substantial personal project. A strong foundation in backend development with C#/.NET and/or Python, along with practical experience in TypeScript and React. Experience with REST APIs, relational databases, Git, and automated testing. The ability to independently deliver a clearly defined solution and explain technical decisions effectively. A completed university degree (WO level) or demonstrably equivalent professional experience and capabilities. Good command of Dutch or English language. Authorised to work in the Netherlands. Nice to have:
Experience deploying and monitoring data pipelines or models in production. Experience with Microsoft Azure, Docker, and CI/CD, for example using Azure DevOps. Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Entity Framework Core, Next.js, or Terraform. Experience working with financial time series or blockchain data. An interest in crypto and fintech. You use AI development tools effectively and critically review and test the code they generate. What do we offer you?
A gross monthly salary between €4,500 and €6,000 (based on a 40-hour workweek). A full-time position of 40 hours per week (32 or 36 hours are negotiable). The prospect of a permanent contract. 25 vacation days (based on full-time employment). Travel reimbursement of €0.23 per kilometer or full reimbursement of public transport costs.
