The role
A plant's story is spread over many systems. The ERP knows the batch. The historian knows the pressure. Excel knows the plan. Why the shift flushed the filter longer at 02:40 is often in no system at all.
You build the platform that puts all of it on one timeline: ERP, historian, SCADA, spreadsheets, and what the shift sees. You go deep on messy industrial data, on integrations that hold up, and on AI analysis that people can check. You also help set how the team builds, with a path to Technical Lead.
Our stack is Python and Go on Google Cloud, and we build AI first. You work in a small team, close to people who ran plants. Our base is the office at Titaan in The Hague, and hybrid working is possible.
What you'll do
Build and own large parts of the platform, from the Go and Python backend to the data and the AI analysis.
Connect to ERP, SCADA, historians and spreadsheets, and make those integrations hold up on real plant data, with all its gaps and quirks.
Model assets, lines, products and events so they meet on one timeline.
Build AI analysis that proposes hypotheses, explainable enough for a process engineer to check. The analysis proposes; the plant's people test and decide.
Turn what the shift captures into data the analysis can use: notes, photos and voice notes.
Test the AI output before a plant sees it, and keep testing it as the data changes.
Review code, set patterns, and ship things right, not only fast. That includes how we build with AI coding tools like Claude.
Talk to users, and see a plant now and then.
What you bring
Solid experience building production software that other people depend on.
Strong Python for data and analysis. You can own a Go backend, or learn one quickly.
Hands-on work with LLMs: retrieval augmented generation (RAG), embeddings and vector search, and prompt and context engineering. You evaluate the output before anyone relies on it.
Depth in data modelling: you think about what an asset, a batch or an event is before you write the table.
You build with AI coding tools every day, and you know where they go wrong.
Good to have
Agents and tool use: LLMs that call tools and work through several steps, with checks along the way.
Time series analysis and forecasting, ideally on industrial data.
Knowledge graphs or ontologies for assets, lines and events.
Google Cloud in production.
Experience with historians, SCADA, OPC UA or ERP integrations.
Curiosity about how plants run. It matters more than plant experience.

A path toward Technical Lead as the team grows.
About Oppr Oppr is an operational improvement platform for continuous manufacturing. It puts shift notes and machine data on one timeline. AI analysis gives hypotheses that the plant's people test on the floor, and what holds becomes standard work.
Built on the floor, by people who ran plants. A small team in The Hague.
