The role Most plants find the fix. Holding it is the hard part. The gain is real for a while, then the line drifts back.
You run the improvement cycle inside a customer's plant, on the floor, with the people who run the line. Oppr's platform is your tool: it puts what the shift sees next to the machine data, and helps every shift keep what works. This is an improvement role, not a software role. You will not write production code, but what you learn in the field shapes how the platform develops.
We are expanding fast across Northwest Europe, focused on process plants in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Expect regular travel to customer plants, with your base at our office in The Hague.
What you'll do Walk the line with operators, shift leads and engineers. Find the problem that keeps coming back, and the one worth working on.
Agree one problem, one owner and the success criteria with the plant before the work starts.
Help the shift capture what they see at the machine, only where the problem needs it. Explain why it matters to them, and stay close until it becomes routine.
Read the shift notes next to the machine data on one timeline. Work with the hypotheses the analysis proposes, and add your own.
Help the plant's people test each hypothesis on the floor. They make the call. A disproved hypothesis is a valid outcome.
Put what holds into standard work, and set up the check every shift confirms.
Start the next problem on the same line, or the next line.
Bring what you see in the field back to our product team.
What you bring Real time on a production floor, ideally in a process plant: chemicals, plastics and rubber, recycling, waste to energy, food and beverage, or similar. Your floor time matters more than your title.
You have run an improvement from problem to standard work yourself, and seen it hold.
Structured problem solving in practice: Lean, DMAIC, TPM, 8D, or the method your plant used.
Comfort with data. A messy export from a historian or ERP does not scare you, and you know SCADA, MES or historians well enough to ask the right questions.
Good to have Dutch and/or German.
A degree in process, chemical, mechanical, industrial or automation engineering.
Experience as a CI or OpEx lead, or in a role across several plants.
A driving licence.
