NTT DATA is looking for a Junior Data Centre Technician in Groningen to play a key role in maintaining critical IT infrastructure for a global customer. In this hands‑on role, you will support server installations, hardware maintenance, cabling, troubleshooting, and day‑to‑day operational activities within a fast‑paced data centre environment. Key Responsibilities
Install and maintain server and network equipment.
Perform copper and fibre‑optic cabling activities.
Ensure that client infrastructure is correctly configured, installed, tested, and fully operational.
Maintain accurate documentation and asset inventory records.
Liaise with client IT teams, carriers, vendors, and internal colleagues to expedite the diagnosis and resolution of technical issues.
Investigate problems relating to systems, processes, and services, and assist with the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
Adhere to operational, quality, safety, and security standards to ensure maximum uptime and service reliability.

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
The ability to plan and organise activities effectively while adapting to changing priorities.
Confidence working in a fast‑paced and pressurized environment.
A flexible and proactive approach to solving problems.
A customer‑focused mindset, with the ability to understand client requirements and deliver a positive customer experience throughout the service lifecycle.
Able to work in shifts between 07:00 and 23:30, this will shift to a 24 x 7 shift coverage in the future
Required Experience and Qualifications
Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Minimum of
one year of experience
in a similar technical support, infrastructure, or data centre role.
