Join our wood processing team in Utrecht as a Wood Machine Operator. Work with modern tools, enjoy friendly colleagues, and earn from €16 per hour. This is what you will do
As a Wood Machine Operator, you’ll be working in our production department, where we handle wood panels, beams, planks, and also heavy-duty cardboard. Every day brings something new because we create custom products for our clients based on their specific requests. Your main task is to follow work orders and operate the sawing machines. You will use a pallet truck to collect and move the right wood to your working area. Precision is key: even small mistakes in measurements can cause problems later in the process. You’ll cut materials as per the order and place them on special stands. Once ready, you move the stands to the next station so your colleagues can assemble crates or floors. Your workday is active and varied. Besides the pallet truck, you’ll use lifting tables, an overhead crane, and a vacuum lifter to make your job easier and safer. You’ll receive guidance so you can operate the sawing machines safely and efficiently. Our workshop has 19 colleagues, and together we share a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Teamwork is important here—we help each other out and get to know one another. This job offers you the chance to learn and grow in a close-knit team where your contribution matters. You’ll be supported to master the machines, and you’ll work in a place where no two days are the same. Basic English skills (A2) are enough for this job – you just need to understand simple instructions and be able to communicate at work. This is what we expect from you
Experience with wood processing machines, construction, or good technical skills Able to work precisely and accurately Forklift certificate is a plus, but not required Physically fit for heavy work Team player with technical and spatial insight Basic English skills are sufficient for this position – understanding simple instructions and the ability to communicate at work. You will be working in the wood packaging and processing sector, in a modern and well-equipped workshop.
