To support this growth, our client is seeking a Financial Accounting Analyst who combines strong accounting fundamentals with a commercial mindset. This position offers exposure to financial reporting, business partnering, risk management, and performance analysis within an international trading environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering high-quality financial information, supporting operational decision-making, and helping the organization achieve its strategic objectives.

Functie

Financial Accounting & Reporting

- Assist with the preparation and submission of monthly financial reports to group finance stakeholders.

- Maintain accounting records including accruals, provisions, allocations, and other month-end adjustments.

- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial information.

- Support internal and external audit processes and coordinate responses to finance-related inquiries.

- Review financial performance and identify areas requiring corrective actions or process improvements.

- Analyze actual versus budgeted results and provide meaningful variance explanations.

Business Control & Performance Analysis

- Partner with commercial and logistics teams to improve profitability and cost efficiency.

- Deliver financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.

- Assist with working capital optimization, cash flow monitoring, and liquidity management.

- Collaborate closely with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams.

- Provide ad hoc analysis and project support as required by the business.

Risk Management & Process Improvement

- Support activities related to commodity exposure and foreign exchange risk monitoring.

- Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls, policies, and governance requirements.

- Contribute to initiatives focused on improving reporting, business analysis, and financial processes.

- Participate in projects aimed at strengthening management reporting and business performance insights.

Profiel

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.

- Additional professional finance qualifications are considered advantageous.

Experience & Skills

- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Analysis, or Business Control.

- Experience within commodity trading, supply chain, or international trading environments is highly preferred.

- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

- Dutch language skills are considered a strong advantage.

- Advanced Excel skills are required.

- Experience with SAP and analytical tools such as Power BI is a plus.
