As Freelance Business Analyst, you’ll translate business needs, customer insightsandstrategicobjectivesintotangiblesolutionsthatdelivermeasurablevalue. Togetherwiththe Manager & Solution Owner, Delivery & Operations Lead and engineering team, you’ll turn business opportunitiesintoclear, actionablesolutionsthatcanbedeliveredefficientlyandeffectively. Gathering, analysinganddocumenting business requirementsand translating business objectivesintoclearfunctionalsolutionsand user journeys; Identifyingopportunitiestoimprove business processesand customer experiences, whilechallengingassumptionsandhelping stakeholders definethe real problemtosolve; Workingcloselywith the Solution Ownertorefinethe product backlog, preparing epics, features and user storiesandsupportingprioritisationbased on business value, effort and impact; Analysing customer journeys, definingsuccess criteria andexpectedoutcomes, supporting business cases andevaluatingdeliveredsolutionsagainsttheirexpected benefits; Collaborating with Developers, QA Engineers andArchitectsthroughout delivery andsupportingtesting, acceptanceand business validation; Managing dependenciesandensuringthat business requirementsremainalignedwith delivery outcomes; Acting as a trusted partner for business stakeholders andfacilitatingcommunicationandalignmentbetween business andtechnology teams. This is a freelance assignmentwith a hybrid way of working. Youcanbebased in Belgium or the Netherlands, withAntwerp or Amsterdam as yourmain Mediahuis location. We expect you to be 2 days per week on your preferred location. Giventheinternational scope of the team, we expectyoutobeflexibleandwillingtoworkfromandtravelbetweenour different locationswhenneeded. What’s on your CV, is important but is by no means theonlything we attachimportanceto.You have proven experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst or FunctionalAnalystand are comfortableworkingwithinmultidisciplinarytechnology or product teams. You have a strong understanding of digital products, customer journeysand business processesandknowhowto translate business needsintoclearfunctionalsolutions. You combine strong analyticalandproblem-solvingcapabilitieswith excellent communicationandfacilitation skills. You’reabletobalance customer, business andtechnicalperspectives, work in a structuredand detail-oriented way without losingsight of thebigger picture, andconstructivelychallenge stakeholders whenneeded. As you’llcollaborateacrossourBelgianand Dutch organisation, a strong command of both Dutch and English is important. You feel comfortablecommunicatingwith different colleaguesand stakeholders in bothlanguages. Experience in subscription-basedbusinesses, media, digital publishing or customer-focused platforms is a plus. Knowledge of customer acquisition, retentionandself-servicejourneys, experience withtransformation or migrationprogrammesandfamiliaritywith Agile product delivery practiceswouldalsobevaluable.
