Infrastructure Architect | Design a New Cyber Recovery Data Centre from Concept | Global Bank A global bank is building a new EU data centre dedicated to cyber recovery, and is looking for an Infrastructure Architect to shape it from day one. You will join the Global IT Resilience & Recovery team, which owns IT continuity, disaster recovery and backup & restore across APAC, EMEA, the US and LATAM, and lead the concept design for an air-gapped, ransomware-resilient recovery environment.
About the role This is the initiation phase, so you will set the foundations: architecture principles, solution options, trade-offs and the concept design the programme will build on. It is a 6-month assignment with a strong view to extend by another 6+ months, based at the Amsterdam office at least 3 days a week.
You will:
Lead the High-Level Concept Design for the EU Cyber Recovery Datacenter
Translate business needs into a functional and non-functional requirements matrix
Evaluate architecture options, document trade-offs and provide input for the business case
Align architecture, engineering, security, risk and operations stakeholders on the solution direction
About you
7-10 years in technical architecture roles on large-scale enterprise infrastructure
Proven datacenter architecture experience, including disaster recovery, replication and failover design, ideally with datacenter transformation or build projects
Hands-on design of cyber recovery solutions: recovery vaults, immutable backup, air-gapped and clean room recovery
Experience in highly regulated environments
CDCDP is highly desirable
