The Role
As an AI Platform Engineer, you will transform community best practices and lessons learned from real AI implementations into standardized platform services, SDKs, templates, developer journeys, architectural blueprints, and governance patterns that can be reused across domains. You will play a crucial role in building the foundation for scalable, secure, and compliant AI solutions within a highly regulated environment.
You are passionate about AI and platform engineering, with a strong focus on governance, security, and scalability. By understanding that strict compliance is critical for well-designed implementations in the banking sector, you will leverage your clear communication, collaborative nature, and goal-focused flexibility to reduce friction for engineering teams and drive enterprise-wide AI adoption.
What You Will Do
Define and maintain AI architecture standards and reference architectures in line with enterprise guidelines for monitoring, networking, security-by-design, privacy, and auditability.
Prototype emerging AI implementation patterns and translate them into standardized, reusable enterprise platform services.
Design and develop shared AI capabilities, cross-cutting concerns (e.g., observability, access management), SDKs, templates, and reference implementations for ML, agentic AI, and AI systems.
Collaborate with architecture, security, risk, and data governance teams to align platform capabilities with strict regulatory and compliance requirements.
Shape, maintain, and implement the long-term AI developer experience (DevEx) to reduce friction for engineering teams building AI applications.
Drive the adoption of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence As a Platform (MAAP) capabilities across various domains.
Design scalable cloud-native solutions and implement CI/CD pipelines alongside advanced platform automation.
Develop robust integrations between AI services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and other supporting platforms.

Required Skills and Experience
Strong experience in platform engineering, AI/ML operationalization, and designing scalable cloud-native solutions.
Hands-on expertise with Azure Services, Azure DevOps (Repositories/Pipelines), and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Deep understanding of governance, security-by-design, and compliance requirements, ideally within a banking or highly regulated environment.
Experience building Software Development Kits (SDKs), AI accelerators, and reusable templates to enable development teams.
Solid background working with modern data platforms and cataloging tools such as Databricks and Unity Catalog.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively align cross-functional teams (security, risk, data governance) on architectural standards.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Familiarity with modern development environments and AI-assisted coding tools, such as VS Code with Copilot.
Experience with security, artifact management, and vulnerability scanning tools like Nexus and Twistlock.
Knowledge of emerging AI trends, including Agentic AI and complex ML system architectures.
Previous experience defining or implementing Developer Experience (DevEx) strategies to reduce engineering friction.
