Overview
As a Systems Engineer at Fortinet, you will be the technical lead for pre-sales engagements and customer discussions. You’ll translate complex security and networking needs into Fortinet solutions, collaborating with sales to qualify opportunities and educate customers. You’ll operate as the primary technical resource on calls, addressing features, integration, and deployment considerations. This role supports post-sales training and helps drive secure, scalable outcomes for our global customers. The opportunity combines hands-on networking expertise with a mission to safeguard people, devices, and data.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Qualify sales opportunities from a technical perspective (pre-sales)
- Serve as the main technical resource on sales calls and educate customers on features, specs, and integration
- Demonstrate and discuss networking applications and solutions with customers
- Provide post-sales training and enablement to identified customers
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 5–8 years experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer
- 5–8 years experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration
- Strong understanding of DNS and NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP
- Knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, IDS, and antivirus technologies
- Proficiency with RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, firewall, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES
- Experience with encryption and authentication technologies
- Strong presentation skills
- Native/Fluent Dutch
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
