Overview
As Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering, you will lead delivery of AI products for clients using Gemini Enterprise and Google AI stack, while guiding a team of Deployed AI Engineers. You split time between hands-on technical leadership and people management, setting technical direction and serving as senior client liaison. You drive production-grade architecture, risk management, and platform decisions across cloud providers. This role combines deep Google AI expertise with leadership to scale client engagements and accelerators. You join a growth-focused, collaborative team delivering AI solutions at scale.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- guide architecture decisions and technical delivery for client engagements
- define interface and backend technology choices (TypeScript/React, Python/Node)
- unblock work on orchestration, memory, guardrails, and RAG pipelines
- make build-vs-buy and platform decisions for data and applications connections
- set standards for Gemini Enterprise, Vertex AI, and Agent Engine usage
- oversee production quality, testing, and monitoring across engagements
- lead engineering practices (version control, CI/CD, observability) and cloud deployment
- manage staffing, growth, and career development of Deployed AI Engineers
- maintain senior client relationships and support pre-sales activities
- scale internal accelerators and reusable components across engagements
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 6-9 years in software or data engineering with hands-on AI/LLM delivery
- strong hands-on experience with Google AI stack (Gemini, Vertex AI, Gemini Enterprise, ADK) including production on GCP
- proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript
- experience building/consuming APIs, frontend (React or similar), and at least one backend framework
- hands-on with RAG, embeddings, vector search, and at least one agent framework (Google ADK, LangGraph/LangChain)
- proven leadership of a engineering team (staffing, performance, development)
- experience owning senior client relationships and escalation management
- strong GCP experience; Azure/AWS a plus
- fluency with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, Cursor)
- Bachelor or Master in CS/engineering or equivalent practical experience
