Overview
In this role you ensure accurate general ledger processing and timely month-end closing, supporting audits and tax reporting for the Belgium branch. You will contribute to IT and business transformation projects with a financial impact, and collaborate with the payments team and consumer finance activities. You drive continuous improvement by standardizing processes across entities and upholding internal controls. You work in a dynamic, collaborative team and report to the Manager Financial Accounting.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Ensure accurate and timely general ledger accounting and reconciliations across balance sheet accounts
- Prepare internal and external financial reports, including VAT, CIT, and regulatory submissions
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting with deadlines and quality standards
- Maintain Belgian VAT and Corporate Income Tax filings with timely submissions
- Provide balance sheet and P&L information to Head Office in IFRS and group reporting context
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
- Support internal and external audits with documentation and issue resolution
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and support projects and activity settlements
- Drive continuous improvement by optimizing processes and standardizing ways of working across entities
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- >=5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting
- Strong IFRS knowledge and financial reporting skills
- Knowledge of lending and credit processes preferred
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Dutch preferred; English essential
- Experience in financial services or consumer finance is a plus
