Overview
In this role you translate business needs into robust ICT architectures and roadmaps within Europol’s ICT Architecture Team. You will collaborate with software, infrastructure and operations teams to ensure architectures are aligned with strategy and capable of handling decentralised, cloud-based and AI-enabled solutions. You’ll shape standards and reference architectures, while guiding solution engineering and product management across multiple domains. Your work directly supports secure, scalable and interoperable information management for Europol and partner entities. Verantwoordelijkheden
- Liaise with stakeholders to support ICT changes and development initiatives
- Assume quality assurance roles in ICT development projects
- Act as Product Manager for selected systems, platforms, or product lines
- Monitor relevant fora and promote interfaces and standards for decentralised solutions
- Develop and maintain architecture standards, guidelines and reference architectures
- Define and promote sound application and integration architectures with data governance
- Identify ICT architecture components for modern solutions (cloud, decentralised, AI)
- Create capability and solution architecture blueprints and roadmaps
- Support solution engineering and operations with architecture guidance
- Lead evaluation and selection of technical products
- Assess business cases and project deliverables for alignment with architecture
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Experience in architecture definition, change management and architecture supervision
- Ability to design applications for large-scale deployments across multiple domains using JEE, .Net, Python or COTS
- Experience integrating custom-built and COTS systems
- Incorporate operability and security requirements into designs
- Multi-product portfolio mapping and cross-product capability management
- Data integration, processing and reporting architectures; AI/ML integration (LLMs, RAG, vector databases, MLOps) and AI security
- Microservices, event-driven architectures, containerised Kubernetes deployments
- Search architectures (Elasticsearch, Opensearch), cloud and hybrid deployments
- Privacy by design and data protection by design knowledge
- Knowledge of architecture modelling, data modelling, master data management
