Overview
In this role you will provide engineering support for space segment design, development and verification, partnering with ESA and industry. You will contribute to architecture definition, requirements consolidation and verification activities, and support milestone reviews from PDR to IOVR. You join an international, dynamic environment based in Noordwijk, helping shape space segment performance and integration. You will deliver technical notes and reports that influence design decisions and procurement.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Support space segment engineering tasks across industrial reviews, procurement, and subsystem level work
- Follow and review architecture definitions for space segments
- Perform requirements engineering and consolidation; define functional and physical architectures
- Conduct design trade-off analyses and interface definition
- Assess technical risks and support industrial milestone reviews (PDR, CDR, QR, IOVR, SD)
- Prepare and contribute to review comments and technical documentation
- Produce deliverables such as Technical Notes, RIDS, Trade-off Reports, and DCN contributions
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Masters degree in Aerospace or a relevant discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Space Segment Engineering
- Background in systems engineering, ground systems, or space mission operations
- Knowledge of integration and verification processes for complex technical systems
- Experience with test procedures preparation and execution
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving skills
