In this role you will serve as the VAT and Indirect Tax expert for Redcare Pharmacy, guiding complex regulatory matters and the impact of new business models. You will translate Dutch, German, and European VAT changes into practical operational effects and partner with Finance, IT/data/AI, and commercial teams to embed tax requirements in processes and systems. You will lead audits, identify risks and opportunities, and help scale compliant, automated VAT processes in a high-volume environment. Verantwoordelijkheden
- Advise on VAT and Indirect Tax for new models, products, services, and commercial initiatives
- Specialize in VAT for e-commerce and marketplace activities; translate regulatory changes into operational effects
- Manage indirect tax audits and liaise with tax advisers and authorities
- Identify tax risks and opportunities; support compliance and data quality
- Collaborate with Finance, IT/data/AI, and commercial teams to reflect tax requirements in processes
- Improve VAT processes, controls, and automation in a high-volume environment; participate in cross-functional projects
- Contribute to building the Indirect Tax function and mentor team members
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Master's degree or equivalent in Tax Law, Fiscal Economics, Taxation, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of VAT and Indirect Tax experience, preferably in Big 4
- Expert knowledge of Dutch VAT and Indirect Tax regulations; understanding of European/international frameworks
- Experience managing VAT compliance, audits, cross-border transactions, EU VAT matters
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience improving VAT processes and automation
- Fluency in Dutch and English; excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Experience with multinational organisations, ERP systems, and tax technology platforms
