Overview
Lead the mechanical design and development of Hudl’s next-generation camera hardware for athlete performance tracking. You will define the camera mechanical platform and drive real-time player tracking capabilities, shaping how teams capture and analyze performance. Collaborate across electrical, firmware, optics, product, and manufacturing to ensure robust, production-ready hardware for demanding sports environments. You’ll own the end-to-end design process, from concept through production, and set engineering standards that raise the bar for the team. Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead camera hardware design from concept to volume production
- Define system-level requirements and document architecture
- Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and DFMEA to raise standards
- Collaborate with electrical, firmware, optics, product and manufacturing teams
- Write test plans and validate mechanical performance (structure, ingress, thermal, shock, vibration)
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics
- 8+ years hands-on mechanical or electromechanical design experience in consumer electronics, sports tech, or optics
- Deep expertise in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or NX), GD&T, tolerance analysis, thermal and structural analysis
- DFM, DFA, requirements management, and failure analysis across injection molding, CNC, and sheet metal
- Strong cross-functional communication
- Problem-solving mindset
- Willingness to leverage AI tools to boost productivity
