Overview
In this role you will lead Europe-wide aluminum scrap sourcing and secondary materials procurement, supporting recycling and decarbonization goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to secure reliable supply, optimize value recovery, and advance sustainable production. You will influence Europe-wide recycling strategy and collaborate with an international network of suppliers and internal stakeholders. This position offers visibility, strategic impact, and a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and sustainability.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Develop and execute Europe-wide scrap and secondary materials sourcing strategies leveraging commercial acumen and market knowledge
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships with suppliers, processors, brokers, and internal stakeholders
- Analyze market trends, pricing, supply dynamics and business data to provide actionable intelligence
- Lead end-to-end procurement including supplier qualification, contract management, compliance, traceability, and execution
- Collaborate across commercial, operational, technical, logistics, quality, finance, and EHS to optimize inventory, supplier performance, and continuity of supply
- Support recycling, decarbonization and circularity objectives by maximizing recovery value and using MS 365 and business systems to monitor performance
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Proven experience in aluminum scrap procurement, recycling, commodity sourcing, or industrial raw material purchasing with understanding of the European supplier landscape
- Strong commercial acumen with success in contract negotiations and supplier relationship management
- Solid knowledge of aluminum alloys, scrap qualities, recycling value chains, and secondary material recovery
- Understanding of logistics, supply chain operations, inventory management, quality specifications, and claims resolution in industrial settings
- Ability to interpret market intelligence, pricing mechanisms, LME structures, scrap spreads, and risk management principles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work across international teams and with suppliers
- Professional proficiency in English; Norwegian strongly valued
