Overview
As Regional Functional Safety Engineer, you will lead the safety program across multiple facilities, ensuring systems meet industry standards throughout the lifecycle. You will partner with Operations, EHS and engineering teams to embed functional safety and drive continuous improvement. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on governance to sustain safe operations regionally. You’ll influence decisions with data and risk analysis, shaping safer processes and reliable operations. This is a regional, high-impact opportunity within a global nutrition company.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead regional implementation and ongoing development of the Functional Safety program across multiple sites
- Ensure sustainable governance and processes for the Functional Safety lifecycle
- Provide expert guidance on Functional Safety and SIS to Operations, EHS and engineering teams
- Collaborate with regional Process Control & Automation, Reliability & Maintenance and Total Process Safety teams
- Ensure training and certification adequate to meet Functional Safety requirements
- Lead regional and site-level management reviews to identify improvements and governance
- Improve Functional Safety processes, tools and standards with Total Process Safety Technology Center
- Provide interpretation and guidance on IEC 61511, IEC 62443 and IEC 61508
- Lead Hazard & Risk Assessments and integrate with Process Safety and EHS frameworks
- Use risk analysis and standards to support safety decisions
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
- CFSE and/or CFSA certification
- Significant industrial experience with SIS and Functional Safety
- Strong understanding of Process Safety relation to Functional Safety
- Experience across the Functional Safety Lifecycle (SRS, SIL, MOC, investigations)
- Experience facilitating Hazard & Risk Assessments
- Experience in ISO 45001 framework
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Second European language is an advantage
