Overview
In this role you will provide EHS leadership for a large carbon capture storage project at the Port of Rotterdam, ensuring the EHS Management System is implemented on site during construction and commissioning. You will collaborate with the project team and contractors to manage risk, investigations and permits, driving a strong safety culture. This long-term contract offers exposure to major capital works and cross-functional collaboration across Dutch and English-speaking teams. You will influence safety practices and share best practices across the PDO EHS group.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Provide EHS leadership to the Project Site Team to meet objectives
- Champion application of PDO EHS processes to improve project performance
- Facilitate EHS awareness and safe behavior across the project
- Advise Project Managers and team on safety, health, emergency preparedness, and risk management
- Implement site-level EHS plans aligned with the EHS Management System
- Coordinate with Contractors to meet contract requirements and ensure execution
- Instruct and train project personnel on EHS policies, procedures, and systems
- Interface with the PDO EHS group to share best practices and lessons learned
- Participate in Project EHS Leadership Team meetings
- Contribute to site performance reporting and incident case management
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Proven EHS supervision background on construction projects
- Knowledge of EHS management systems in gases or petrochemical industries
- EHS qualification with relevant experience
- Strong safety culture advocate
- Knowledge of industrial site hazards and EHS processes, technologies, and equipment
- Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills; fluent Dutch, English preferred
- Experience on Major Capital Construction Projects preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and with multiple stakeholders
- Expert: incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Proficient: OSHA, Dutch legislation, EPA, DOT, Drug & Alcohol
- Proficient: ability to read P&IDs, LOTO, PTW, SIMOPS
