Overview
In this role you will support the operation and readiness of critical MEP systems in a hyperscale data centre. You will work with an international engineering team to ensure uptime and safe, efficient performance of power, cooling, BMS, fire systems, and environmental controls. The position involves hands-on maintenance, monitoring, and collaboration with commissioning and client teams in live or near-complete facilities. This is a chance to contribute to a flagship, complex data centre project in The Netherlands with a strong emphasis on safety and operational excellence.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot MEP systems including UPS, LV/MV power, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, generators, and fire suppression
- Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency response activities
- Support handover, commissioning, and operational readiness of mechanical/electrical systems
- Interface with commissioning teams, subcontractors, and client engineers
- Maintain logs, reports, and incident records in line with site protocols
- Follow strict HSE procedures and escalation protocols for fault handling and service continuity
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 5+ years’ experience as a Data Centre Engineer, MEP Technician, or Facilities Engineer
- Strong technical understanding of critical systems: power, cooling, controls
- Experience in data centres, hospitals, clean rooms, or critical infrastructure preferred
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and commissioning documents
- Excellent fault-finding and communication skills
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a bonus)
- EU work rights or valid work permit for The Netherlands required
