Overview
In this role you provide technical leadership on crane and rigging across Europe, shaping safe and compliant lifting operations during Turnarounds and major projects. You collaborate with sites, project teams, and contractors to align with company standards and Operational Excellence. You act as the SME for crane and rigging, guiding complex lifts, risk mitigation, and training across the region. This position offers regional impact, cross-site collaboration, and the chance to influence safety and performance in a global chemical company.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Provide crane and rigging technical support for maintenance, capital projects, and OE audits across Europe
- Coordinate crane and rigging activities during Turnarounds to ensure safe and efficient delivery
- Evaluate and manage crane service providers and contractors engaged in Turnaround activities
- Verify workforce competency and support onboarding for Turnaround personnel
- Act as Crane & Rigging SME, offering guidance to sites, projects, and stakeholders
- Support development and implementation of company standards, procedures, and best practices
- Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices; promote Continuous Improvement
- Participate in technical networks and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Minimum 15 years of experience in crane operations, rigging, lift planning, or related heavy lifting
- Secondary education diploma or equivalent vocational qualification
- Professional certifications as Crane Operator, Rigger, Lift Director, or willingness to obtain within first year
- Knowledge of crane operations, lift planning, rigging inspection, ground bearing, and super-lift operations
- Experience coordinating crane activities for major Turnarounds
- Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Office, and Turnaround management systems
- Fluency in English; German/Italian/Dutch an advantage
- Willingness to frequent travel (approx. 30%), domestic and international
