Overview
In this role you lead the design and verification of EWIS components for future aircraft, guiding technical direction across projects. You act as design authority, mentor engineers, and shape the EWIS roadmap while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position focuses on high‑voltage and data transmission EWIS technologies within a sustainability‑driven, innovative aerospace environment. Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead design authority for EWIS components and constructions within your area of expertise
- Define design strategies, manage trade‑offs, and oversee qualification and documentation
- Collaborate with the Engineering Design Team and act as senior technical reference
- Mentor and coach Senior/Mid/Junior Design Engineers to ensure engineering excellence
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and maturation of next‑generation EWIS technologies
- Lead technical reviews, resolve cross‑functional issues, and ensure compliance
- Communicate design decisions effectively with suppliers, customers, and regulators
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 10+ years in a comparable high‑reliability engineering domain (aerospace/transportation)
- Extensive system design experience with multidisciplinary architectures
- Expert‑level knowledge of electrical cable harness design and integration constraints
- Ability to specify parts, materials, and assemblies and understand system interactions
- Proficiency with industry standards (DO‑160, ARP4754A, MIL‑STD, ISO)
- Advanced documentation and requirements management (Codebeamer or equivalent)
- Experience leading technical reviews and design assurance activities
- Strong analytical, proactive problem‑solving mindset
- Experience with qualification/certification processes and supplier/customer/regulator communication
