Overview
In this role you lead engineering teams within a key programme at GKN Aerospace, delivering complex aerospace solutions with technical excellence. You will drive delivery on schedule, budget, and regulatory compliance while developing people and promoting continuous improvement in an international setting. You’ll influence technical direction, collaborate across functions, and help shape the future of flight. This is a mission-driven leadership role in a cutting-edge aerospace environment.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead and motivate engineering teams to meet quality, schedule and cost objectives
- Provide technical oversight ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and certification requirements
- Plan, coordinate and monitor engineering activities and deliverables
- Review and approve technical deliverables and documentation within delegated authority
- Identify, assess and mitigate technical risks across programmes
- Support bid and proposal activities with technical and functional reviews
- Drive compliance with engineering processes, standards and best practices
- Support certification activities through test plans, specifications and compliance strategies
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders during technical reviews and gate reviews
- Promote continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and operational excellence
- Coach and develop engineers to strengthen team capability
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering or related technical discipline
- At least 10 years of relevant engineering experience in aerospace preferred
- Strong technical direction ability across engineering disciplines
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex work packages
- Solid understanding of development, verification and certification processes
- Strong project planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience building cross-functional relationships with customers and suppliers
