Overview
In this role, you design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs for our Laravel-based SaaS platform focused on Third Party Risk Management. You own features end-to-end, from implementation to deployment and monitoring, collaborating with a team that ships services with a strong emphasis on reliability and scalability. You will guide junior engineers and shape architectural decisions, while embracing AI-powered tools to boost productivity. Verantwoordelijkheden
- Design, develop, and maintain features and APIs within Laravel applications
- Own and deliver well-defined stories independently with awareness of team architecture
- Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making
- Review code and contribute to testing and CI/CD practices
- Mentor and support junior engineers
- Utilize AI tools to improve productivity across coding, debugging, testing, and documentation
- Understand core LLM concepts and evaluate AI outputs for safety, privacy, and cost
- Identify improvements for developer experience and system stability
- Maintain Agile development flow and drive iterative improvements
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience in an agile environment
- Strong PHP and Laravel experience in the TALL stack
- Relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB) understanding incl. querying and data modelling
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and system integrations
- Practical experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows
- Experience with Docker or containerised environments
- Debugging production issues and using logs, monitoring, observability tools
- Frontend knowledge (Vue, React, or Blade)
- Willingness to discuss architecture, document designs, and present technical ideas clearly
- Practical experience using AI tools in daily development workflows
- Understanding AI concepts (LLM behavior, hallucinations, limitations) and validating outputs
- Awareness of privacy, security, and data sensitivity when using AI tools
- Ability to balance AI-driven productivity with engineering quality
