Overview
In this role you lead the end-to-end performance for the SAGA mission, coordinating across industry and ESA domains.
You shape system requirements, budgets, and verification to ensure mission success from space to user segments.
You will collaborate with multiple teams to monitor risks, schedules, and performance, contributing to the Euro QCI readiness.
This is a mission-driven opportunity to drive technical excellence in QKD space technologies at ESA.
- Verantwoordelijkheden
- Oversee end-to-end system performance for the SAGA mission in collaboration with industry
- Define and allocate mission and interface requirements across segments
- Track traceability of requirements from user/service to equipment/payload
- Maintain system and segment performance budgets across mission phases
- Monitor verification activities and resolve non-conformances
- Coordinate with PA, Space Segment, Payload & User segment and Security leads during development and testing
- Provide regular project management reporting on risks, competences, and mitigation actions
- Contribute to schedule management and risk mitigation actions
- Support industrial preparation for in-orbit commissioning and service provision
- Lead a team of engineers and specialized staff across ESA directorates
- Belangrijkste vereisten
- Master in Engineering (required)
- 4 years of relevant professional experience (or Bachelor with 4 years + relevant experience)
- Strong problem-solving and risk anticipation abilities
- Ability to adapt to new working methods and environments
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of space standards and tailoring for space programs
- Experience with optical and/or QKD technology is an asset
