Overview
As Commercial Manager, you lead and mentor contracts and commercial staff within defense programs, guiding end-to-end governance and strategy. You shape proposals, analyze requirements and risks, and ensure compliance with governance frameworks. You work closely with program teams to align customer requirements with supplier contracts and drive cost efficiency and cash generation. This role offers impact across the contract lifecycle, from negotiation to settlement, in an innovative, international environment.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead governance and lifecycle management for assigned contracts and programs
- Shape contract strategy for proposals, including terms analysis and risk mitigation
- Lead negotiations on commercial and contractual topics with customers
- Ensure flow-down of prime contracts to supplier agreements throughout lifecycle
- Prepare and manage contractual documents (NDAs, MOUs, teaming agreements, license and MRO agreements)
- Assess and manage contracting risks (technical, financial, contractual) in proposals
- Initiate and manage order review and contract changes
- Ensure proper storage of contracts and amendments in relevant databases
- Identify optimal payment plans and work with Finance to maximize cash opportunities
- Support claims and provide guidance on settlement and negotiation strategy
- Provide management information to drive cost competitiveness and cash generation
- Contribute to development and implementation of contractual/commercial strategies
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 5+ years experience in Defence and Aerospace
- Strong knowledge of US DoD contracting
- 5+ years experience with FAR and DFARS
- HBO degree in relevant domain
