Overview
As a Backend Developer, you will build and optimize server-side logic in Node.js and Python to power scalable, reliable applications. You’ll collaborate with front-end engineers, data analysts, and stakeholders to deliver robust APIs and services. You will design data stores and ensure security, performance, and maintainability while embracing agile practices. This role sits at the core of Monks.Flow and the broader marketing tech stack, offering opportunities to impact product direction and scale. You will work in a cross-functional team to solve meaningful, data-driven challenges.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Build and maintain high-performance server-side logic in Node.js and Python
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI with server-side logic
- Design and implement APIs and RESTful services
- Set up and optimize SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases
- Optimize performance with long-term scalability and security
- Identify and fix bugs and infrastructure bottlenecks
- Write clean, scalable Python and TypeScript code
- Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards and agile practices
- Partner with QA, DevOps, and Product Management to deliver production applications
- Maintain technical and API documentation for internal and external teams
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Dutch work authorisation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience
- Python and TypeScript development with asynchronous programming and modular architecture
- Experience with FastAPI, Django, NestJS, or Express
- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes); microservices; cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- DevOps practices, CI/CD, and Git
- Package management tools (npm, poetry, or uv)
- Web security basics (OWASP, JWT, OAuth2)
- APM, profiling tools, and modern testing frameworks
- Front-end familiarity (HTML, CSS, JS/TS, React) for cross-team collaboration
