Overview
As a Senior Reliability Engineer focusing on IAM, you will own the reliability and evolution of Planet’s enterprise identity ecosystem. You will work within Corporate Engineering to operate and enhance internal IT systems and identity platforms, driving secure, scalable access across the organization. The role blends security, automation, and incident response to reduce toil and enable a self-healing infrastructure. You’ll join a cross-functional team that values belonging and impactful, mission-driven work.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Architect and maintain identity providers (Okta, Auth0, Keycloak) for internal systems
- Automate Joiner/Mover/Leaver workflows from HRIS (e.g., HiBob)
- Develop provisioning automation using Python/Go
- Create and manage IaC configurations with Terraform/Ansible/SaltStack
- Reduce operational toil through automation and self-healing systems
- Participate in on-call rotation and drive incident response improvements (RCA, post-mortems)
- Collaborate with Security and IT to ensure GDPR and Zero Trust alignment
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 6+ years in infrastructure development/operations with IAM focus
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with large web apps or clusters and complex identity architectures (Okta, Auth0, Keycloak)
- HRIS integration and edge-case handling (re-hires, cross-border transfers)
- Strong understanding of networks and modern identity protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM)
- Knowledge of PKI, certificate lifecycles (S/MIME, X.509), and legacy directories (Active Directory)
