Overview
As Data & AI Governance Lead, you build and mature Damen’s governance capability to unlock value from data and AI while embedding trust, quality, security, and compliance. You’ll lead a cross-functional team to ensure governance is practical and integrated into daily work, enabling reporting, analytics and AI-driven value. You’ll collaborate across business units, IT, security, privacy and analytics to shape a scalable data and AI ecosystem and drive responsible data practices. This role offers an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide data governance in a global maritime organization.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead and develop Damen’s Data & AI Governance capability and team
- Strengthen data ownership and stewardship across the organization with practical governance
- Improve data quality by making issues visible and prioritizing improvements
- Collaborate with business, IT, security, privacy and analytics teams to align governance
- Shape the Data & AI ecosystem with architecture, metadata, lineage and data products
- Drive responsible and AI-ready data with emphasis on transparency, security and human oversight
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Strong experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management or related discipline
- Understanding of data ownership, stewardship, quality, metadata, definitions and lifecycle
- Experience building governance capabilities in complex organizations
- Ability to connect business, IT, architecture, security, analytics and operations
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across levels
- Hands-on mindset translating strategy into measurable results
- Knowledge of data requirements for AI including lineage, quality, access control and trusted sources
- Experience driving adoption and communities of Data Owners and Data Stewards
- Preferably experience in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, ERP, PDM, CRM or similar environments
- Experience with DAMA-DMBOK, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, MDM tooling, SAP and/or AI Governance is a strong advantage
