Overview
As a Senior HPC Linux DevOps Engineer, you will design and automate large-scale HPC and VDI environments to enable R&D engineers. You’ll build scalable automation, CI/CD, and IaC solutions, shaping platform delivery across global data centers. You collaborate with cross-regional teams to improve reliability, security, and performance, while driving continuous improvement and technical maturity. This role blends development and operations in a fast-paced, innovation-focused setting.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Design and maintain automation for Linux systems and HPC services at scale
- Build and sustain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
- Develop configurations, base images, and deployment strategies using Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent
- Create reusable automation libraries and tooling to reduce manual effort
- Oversee system deployment, performance, reliability, and security through proactive monitoring
- Enforce policies on Linux administration, security, and compliance; define best practices
- Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 user support
- Collaborate with global teams to deliver HPC and VDI solutions for design engineers
- Participate in Agile processes (PI Planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, retrospectives, releases)
- Engage with users and stakeholders to provide guidance and continuously improve solutions
- Troubleshoot issues with root-cause analysis
- Ensure compliance with standards for security, performance, scalability, availability, and maintainability
- Drive continuous improvement via automation and DevOps best practices
- Maintain documentation for configurations, workflows, policies, and procedures
- Contribute to solution architecture reviews and technology evaluations
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Approximately 5-7 years in DevOps, automation engineering, or platform engineering
- Strong scripting in Python, Bash, Perl, or equivalent
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent
- Proficient Linux System Administration (RedHat or similar)
- Extensive AWS experience, preferably with certifications; familiarity with cloud-native automation and IaC
- DevOps mindset with Lean/ Agile methodologies
- Strong Unix/Linux command-line skills, scripting, and automation
- Experience integrating automation with APIs, databases, and enterprise platforms
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience engaging stakeholders, gathering requirements, and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
