Overview
In this Senior Electrical Designer role, you will own electrical architecture and integration for advanced, regulated mechatronic equipment. You will lead cross-functional design efforts, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior engineers. You’ll work within a consulting framework to deliver high-tech solutions across medical, industrial, or aerospace-like environments. This is an impact-driven opportunity to shape electrical systems and drive robust design in fast-moving projects.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Define and lead electrical architecture for complex mechatronic systems, including power distribution and signal integrity
- Translate system requirements into detailed electrical designs for high-tech equipment with emphasis on performance, reliability, and safety
- Lead specification, design, and documentation of electrical systems (schematics, harnesses, cabinets, interfaces)
- Act as electrical team lead within multidisciplinary projects, planning tasks and supervising detailed design activities
- Ensure compliance with safety, EMC, and regulatory standards (CE, UL, IEC 60601, ISO 13485, etc.)
- Apply the V-model across development: requirements, test specs, test execution, and results reporting
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, systems, and validation engineers for seamless integration
- Support motion control, electrical drives and power electronics technologies
- Mentor junior electrical designers and promote design, documentation, and compliance best practices
- Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure feasibility and serviceability
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 15 years of professional electrical design experience, with at least 10 years in high-tech, precision or regulated environments
- Strong leadership experience leading electrical teams on complex, cross-functional projects
- In-depth knowledge of electrical system architecture, power distribution, control panels, and industrial automation components
- Extensive experience with regulatory requirements for safety-critical systems (IEC 60601, ISO 13485, FDA, CE, EMC, UL)
- Proficiency with electrical design tools (EPlan, AutoCAD Electrical) and requirements management systems
- Solid understanding of V-model development, test validation, and design traceability in regulated environments
- Excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Customer-centric mindset and proactive, solution-driven approach
- Fluent in English; additional local language is a plus
