Overview
In this role you lead two embedded software teams across Eindhoven and Wageningen to translate research into real-world healthcare, connectivity, and everyday-life solutions. You combine people leadership with technical vision and program execution to shape the embedded software roadmap. You guide cross-functional collaboration with researchers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, impact-driven software. You will build diverse, future-ready teams and drive staffing and capability development. This position offers a chance to work with disruptive innovators and shape technologies from imec's research portfolio.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Lead and coach embedded software engineers and technical leaders across two locations
- Manage staffing, recruitment, and capability development for diverse teams
- Oversee project execution, resource planning, and engineering excellence across multiple R&D programs
- Shape the embedded software competence roadmap aligned with future tech and market opportunities
- Foster collaboration with researchers, project leaders and business stakeholders to translate innovation into real-world impact
Belangrijkste vereisten
- MSc in a related technical field (Embedded Systems, CS, EE)
- 10+ years of embedded software development experience
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Strong background in modern embedded software systems, architectures, tools, and processes
- Experience with embedded Linux, real-time systems, connectivity, IoT, Edge AI or similar environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluent in English; Dutch a plus
- Willingness to work across Eindhoven and Wageningen and occasional travel to Leuven
