As an AI Data Engineer, you will build scalable AI-ready data foundations and pipelines, enabling AI, ML, and agent-based solutions across HERE’s enterprise landscape. You’ll design connectors, data products, and governed access patterns to ensure trusted information fuels AI initiatives from pilots to production. You’ll collaborate with AI Architects, data teams, and stakeholders to scale AI deployments while upholding governance and security. This is a chance to shape enterprise data foundations that unlock AI value at scale.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for AI/ML and agent-based solutions
- Develop connectors across enterprise apps, databases, SaaS, APIs, and knowledge repos
- Create reusable data services and data products to accelerate AI use cases
- Ensure access to high-quality, current data via robust retrieval/integration patterns
- Partner with AI Solution Architects, Data Scientists, and Product Owners to define data requirements
- Architect patterns for RAG, semantic search, and AI-driven automation
- Standardize ingestion, transformation, and access for structured and unstructured data
- Support transition of AI solutions from pilots to production at scale
- Identify and resolve data quality, lineage, and ownership issues across domains
- Implement monitoring, validation, and observability for data reliability
- Collaborate with Security/Privacy/Governance to ensure compliance
- Maintain metadata, catalogs, and governance standards for discoverability
- Drive enterprise collaboration to adopt AI-friendly data practices
- Contribute to AI CoE strategy by addressing systemic data challenges
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 5+ years in data engineering, integration engineering, or data platform development
- Experience building enterprise-scale data pipelines using cloud/data platforms
- Strong data modeling, ETL/ELT, API, event-driven architectures, and data integration patterns
- Experience with structured and unstructured data
- Proficiency in SQL and Python/Java/Scala
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes
- Experience supporting AI/ML, generative AI, or agentic AI solutions
- Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, and RAG
- Experience with data governance, metadata, catalogs, and data lineage tools
- Understanding of data privacy, security, and responsible AI principles
- Experience with orchestration/integration tools (Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Kafka)
- Knowledge of AI ecosystems (M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock)
