Overview
As Engineering Manager at Sendcloud, you’ll lead one or more feature teams delivering product experiences and integrations that simplify merchants’ shipping workflows. You’ll partner with Product, Design, and Platform teams to set goals, shape priorities, and ensure reliable, scalable outcomes. You’ll foster high-performing, owner-driven teams while maintaining quality and long-term maintainability. This role offers impact across engineering, product, and customer operations in a fast-growing logistics tech environment. You’ll help scale the platform and empower teams to deliver at scale for a global customer base.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Define team goals aligned with product and tech strategy
- Lead, coach, and develop engineers (1:1s, performance, career growth)
- Own end-to-end delivery, manage scope and risks
- Partner with Product and Design for planning and prioritization
- Guide architecture, code quality, and technical debt management
- Ensure production ownership incl. observability, incident management, runbooks, and SLOs
- Drive continuous improvement via metrics, incidents, and retrospectives
- Manage team-level budgeting and cloud/resource usage
Belangrijkste vereisten
- 7+ years in software engineering or engineering leadership
- At least 3 years in Engineering Management
- Experience leading teams of 10+ engineers or multiple teams
- Experience in large engineering organizations (50+ engineers)
- Strong background in software engineering and product development
- Proven ability to partner with Product, Design, and stakeholders to deliver impact
- Experience driving delivery in Agile or iterative environments
- Experience with hiring, coaching, and talent development
- Understanding of production ownership, observability, incident management, security and privacy-aware development
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Clear, direct and empathetic communication
