Overview
As a Financial Planning Analyst in the Finance Department, you own the group budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting framework. You will develop strategic financial models and coordinate consolidated monthly reporting and annual budgets. You’ll support operations, accounting, treasury, tax, and IR while advising the CFO on financial analysis. This role blends data-driven insights with cross-functional collaboration to drive cost improvements and strategic decisions in a mining context.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Own the Group management reporting framework
- Own the Group budgeting & forecasting process
- Own the Group strategic modelling & scenario planning
- Maintain group management reporting standards for internal & external reporting
- Oversee Group-wide Business analysis function
- Coordinate consolidated monthly management reporting and annual budget processes
- Provide ad-hoc support to CFO and NMC on management reporting and Group financial analysis
- Develop and interpret financial data with operations to drive cost improvements
- Maintain and operate Group strategic financial models (including mining valuation & impairment, DTA recoverability, going concern)
- Provide active management and coaching to mine/refining site BAs and FMs
- Build variance analysis models for mining/smelting results
- Coordinate budget cycle
- Support for controlling function
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
- 5-10 years in a financial/analytical role
- Mining or metal smelting experience highly desirable
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
- Numerically minded
- Proficient in Excel, cashflow modelling, handling large data sets, macros
- Objectives-focused with strong planning and organisational skills
- Strong/resolute personality
