Overview
As Principal Power System Studies Expert, you lead technical work on grid studies, renewable integration, and grid code compliance for a diverse client base. You act as a key technical lead within the PSP team, delivering high-quality analyses and guiding project teams. You support business development through proposals and client engagement while exploring cutting-edge topics like energy storage, smart grids, and HVDC/FACTS modelling. You join an international, collaborative environment focused on sustainable energy and system safety.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Conduct grid modeling, simulations, and power system studies to analyze grid behavior
- Investigate renewable integration and storage, grid quality, and reliability topics
- Assess integration of power electronics (HVDC, FACTS, inverters) and grid code compliance
- Analyze voltage/frequency control, grid stability, fault clearance, protection, and control
- Consider lightning protection, earthing, grounding, and EMI/EMI issues
- Develop, review, and process technical documentation and validation of studies
- Perform site visits, witness tests, and verify study results
- Contribute to technical reports and commercial proposals
- Present findings to customers and internal teams
- Manage projects within budget and timeline constraints
Belangrijkste vereisten
- MSc in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems Studies
- Extensive experience with grid simulation tools PSSE, PowerFactory, PSCAD, ETAP, CDEGS, ATP
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Strong knowledge in Power System Studies, Renewable Integration, Testing & Modeling, Grid Code Compliance, Protection & Control, Earthing/Grounding, EMI
- Excellent client engagement, project coordination, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel and take on new challenges
- English fluency; Dutch is a plus
