Overview
In this role you will underwrite Benelux liability risks and grow the portfolio within AXA XL’s Casualty team. You’ll work autonomously yet collaboratively to provide tailored solutions for brokers and clients, supporting expansion in the Benelux region. You will shape strategic initiatives, monitor market trends, and drive profitable growth while maintaining high service standards. This position offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration and the opportunity to influence product strategy in a regulated, inclusive environment.

Verantwoordelijkheden
- Underwrite and grow the Benelux Liability portfolio
- Generate new business opportunities with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with underwriters, underwriting assistants and management
- Drive profitable growth and meet liability budget targets
- Develop and implement strategic plans with the liability team and underwriting manager
- Ensure workflow and service standards are met
- Oversee business development, manage submission flow and identify up-sell/cross-sell opportunities
- Anticipate market trends and underwriting issues
- Develop CRM initiatives with Client Distribution Leaders, especially with Risk Managers
- Interact with other product lines and support areas locally in Benelux, including claims
- Develop the offering for the region and execute expansion plans
- Advise, service and follow up with clients on insurance and risk management, and pursue cross-selling opportunities
- Assist in introducing new products where opportunities arise
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Knowledge of the insurance market with liability underwriting and sales experience
- Preferred bachelor/university degree in engineering, finance/business, law, insurance or related fields, or relevant experience
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong business development, negotiation and growth-driving mindset
- Ability to work without supervision and prioritize for team and client interests
- High working capacity and resilience under pressure
- Team player with a desire to learn and grow
- Ability to develop strategic initiatives and improve operational efficiency
