Overview
In this backend-focused Software Engineer role, you will contribute to the Databricks platform at scale, shaping infrastructure and products used by data teams. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance services and client libraries for cloud storage backends and pricing infrastructure. You’ll address distributed systems, orchestration, and observability to support millions of cluster-hours daily. This role blends deep systems work with product impact, advancing Databricks’ mission to unify data, analytics, and AI. You will help build scalable infrastructure and improve developer experience in a fast-paced, customer-obsessed environment.
Verantwoordelijkheden
- Build and maintain scalable backend services and client libraries for cloud storage backends (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob Store)
- Develop reliable, high-performance services and data pipelines to power pricing infrastructure and platform usage visibility
- Address distributed systems challenges, service orchestration, monitoring, and developer experience across the Databricks platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features that enable customers to view and control platform usage
Belangrijkste vereisten
- Bachelor or higher in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of production experience in Java, Scala, C++, or similar language
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with SaaS platforms or Service-Oriented Architectures
- Strong knowledge of SQL
